Six steps to accreditation

01

Complete Prospective Applicant Training

All four stages of the training must be completed before a Part I Application is issued.

02

Submit Part I Application

Part I Applications are accepted in February and August only. Up to two applicants per cycle are selected based on readiness.

03

Conduct self-evaluation

Using materials provided after Part I approval, the school conducts a thorough self-evaluation against all ten MEAC standards.

04

Submit Part II (Self-Evaluation Report)

The completed self-evaluation is submitted to MEAC for peer review. The review process typically takes several months.

05

Host a site visit

A team of trained reviewers visits the school to verify the self-evaluation and assess compliance with MEAC standards first-hand.

06

Accreditation decision

The Accreditation Review Committee (ARC) reviews all materials and issues a decision: accreditation, pre-accreditation, or denial with remediation.
